Image PREGNANCY MONITORING

The VIDAMed Pregnancy Monitoring Package is designed for the careful and structured follow-up of pregnancy according to the essential stages of fetal development.

Monitoring usually begins at 11–12 weeks of pregnancy, when the pregnancy is already confirmed by ultrasound and embryonic development allows evaluation of the key parameters of the first trimester. This is the optimal moment for the first major screening, assessment of fetal vitality, and early identification of potential risks.

Each visit includes an ultrasound examination and obstetric consultation, while laboratory test results are interpreted together with clinical and ultrasound findings to establish the most appropriate medical management for each stage of pregnancy.

For the patient’s convenience, laboratory investigations may be performed at any laboratory of choice, including one located close to home. The patient attends the consultation with the test results, which are then integrated into the comprehensive medical evaluation.

Regular monitoring allows early detection of potential complications and provides continuous medical support throughout pregnancy.

The recommended laboratory tests within the package follow current obstetric protocols for monitoring physiological pregnancy. Depending on the individual characteristics of each patient, medical history, or pregnancy evolution, the doctor may recommend additional investigations to ensure adequate and personalized monitoring.

Why is fetal cardiotocography (CTG) recommended?

Starting from 37 weeks, pregnancy is considered full-term and monitoring fetal well-being becomes essential.

Fetal cardiotocography evaluates the baby’s heart rate and its response to movements, providing valuable information about fetal well-being during the final weeks of pregnancy.

It is a safe, non-invasive investigation recommended weekly until delivery for careful monitoring and additional reassurance for the expectant mother.

Who is this package for?

Recommended for:

  • pregnant women with physiological pregnancy
  • patients who want structured monitoring in one medical center
  • expectant mothers who want integrated interpretation of tests and ultrasounds
  • patients seeking attentive supervision and medical continuity

Why is structured pregnancy monitoring important?

Regular monitoring allows:

  • accurate assessment of fetal growth and development
  • early detection of complications
  • monitoring of maternal health
  • safe preparation for delivery
